Green River College AA Physical Therapist Assistant

Certifications:   EIM Specialty Certification in Orthopedics

Clinical Specializations/Interests:  : I'm currently enjoying the variety of cases that we see and treat in the clinic. It's fun to work with all ages and all skill levels in order to help get them back to their hobbies/sport in life

Why I love being a PTA:

As an assistant I don't always get to meet the patient on their first day, but a smile/wave from across the room feels like a warm welcome. When I get the opportunity to work with them in upcoming sessions, I have the ability to follow up on their needs and goals. Not only do I love to see and share objective gains, it's even more rewarding to see progress in more functional ways. The best is when a patient ends the session complimenting the treatment and exercise creativity, and I'm thanking them for putting in such good effort and hard work.

How I stay active:

I grew up playing soccer then played a few years of rugby at Central Washington University. I have always been athletic and interested in all sports. In more recent years, my wife and I have participated in several 5ks in the community which is always a fun time, especially when they are dog friendly and we can include our black lab/mix, Cooper. With our growing family, we look forward to getting back to hiking, going to the beach, and travel whenever possible.

Interests:

The beautiful thing about life is all that it offers. Whether through food, hobbies, travel, human interaction, etc, there is always something to learn and experience. I consider myself well rounded with interests and skills that include, crochet, wood working, yard/housework, sports, hiking, photography, guitar/ukulele, and travel. I'm always open to new ideas!

One word that describes me:  Well-rounded

Favorite vacation spot:

Currently Maui due to its versatility and variety. It's our favorite place to explore yet be completely content with endless mai tais, shrimp/fish tacos, and hanging at the beach.
