I love teaching patients about their injury / diagnosis. I truly believe that "knowledge is power." When you know more about your body, it's response to injury, and the healing process, you are more likely to recover faster and prevent re-injury.
How I stay active:
I love being outside! My husband and I enjoy running, going for walks, biking, paddle boarding, and playing volleyball. I also have a passion for yoga. I love connecting my body's movement with breathwork while lengthening and strengthening my muscles.
Interests:
I enjoy reading fiction, especially mystery novels. Playing piano has been a passion of mine for many years and I recently inherited my family's 100-year-old piano. Hosting friends and family for a BBQ is also one of my favorite ways to spend a sunny afternoon. But mostly, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my daughter.

I love being a PTA because it provides me the opportunity to help people move and feel better. It is pretty cool to see a person progress from week to week and start getting back into doing the things they love to do.

I love being a tech because I have the opportunity to take part in transforming the bounds between a physical to mental outlook, letting someone walk out a little better than when they came in.
How I stay active: I stay active by continuing my dance training whenever possible, plus participating in weekly hot yoga sessions and catching views of the great outdoors warranting a walk or a hike (weather permitting of course).
Interests: Interests range from baking to traveling to enjoying a vast array of movie binging meanwhile cozy cuddling on the couch.

Why I will love being a PT Tech: I will love being a PT Technician because I love the world of physical therapy! I will be attending PT school next year and this is the perfect way to spend my gap year! I am also already familiar with the wonderful staff at OPT Maple Valley, as I did observation hours with them already.
How I Stay Active: I stay active by frequenting the gym, I really enjoy lifting weights. I also never turn down an opportunity to be out in nature getting some natural movement.
Interests: I love music with my whole being, and I am a frequent concert attendee. I love fitness and physical activity. I also enjoy chess and video games.
